GoTyme Bank is gearing up to onboard more than three million new depositors next year, building on its current record of three million customers, according to its leadership.

During the “A Beautiful Thanksgiving” event at the Bocca Restaurant in Bridgetown, Quezon City on Wednesday, Nathaniel “Nate” Clarke, co-founder and CEO of GoTyme Bank, said there is still much work ahead for the institution despite its rapid growth, having reached 8 million customers and ₱40 billion in deposits in just three years.

“I think we are ending up with more than 3 million customers this year and deposits of more than P40 billion now. Next year, hopefully even faster, so more than 3 million next year. So, we would roughly end at least between 11 and 12 million next year, and we need to keep pushing on,” Clarke said in an interview.

Aside from expanding its customer base, Clarke emphasized the importance of building deeper user engagement through transactions, lending, and payments.

GoTyme is currently the top digital and physical bank in the country in terms of InstaPay transaction volume, the number two debit Visa card in terms of payment volume, and was included in TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies for 2025.

Wider retail presence

Clarke noted that, aside from Robinsons Supermarket, GoTyme has expanded its presence to SM Stores, particularly supermarkets and groceries.

“We are in over 80 malls today, we are already everywhere. So, every SM Department Store now has a GoTyme kiosk, and there are extra kiosks in huge SM branches like the Mall of Asia. So far, the partnership has been very strong,” he said.

He stressed that the bank’s challenge moving forward is to maintain its momentum.

“So now, you know, obviously, other folks are seeing that, and everyone, I think, as an industry, is investing more in their digital products and services. But I think for us, the challenge is to keep focused, not get distracted, and keep on pushing,” he added.

Clarke projected that GoTyme Bank will reach profitability in 2027.

“For us, we want to grab market share, and we need to make sure that those customers are profitable. Onboarding 300,000 customers a month, we are spending a lot to on board depositors. But I would say the 2027 timeline would be where we turn more to a focus on profitability,” Clarke said.

Earlier this month, GoTyme announced partnerships with Robinsons Retail, SM Retail, foodpanda, PayMongo, and TikTok Shop, further expanding its inclusive and human-centric financial services.

To date, GoTyme Bank has nearly 600 kiosks and ATMs, supported by more than 1,000 banking ambassadors and 1,450 retail partner locations nationwide. Customers enjoy 20 free InstaPay transfers monthly and 24/7 live customer support — reinforcing the brand’s positioning as simple, seamless, and personal banking.

GoTyme Bank’s next phase of growth will introduce new digital tools and financial solutions aimed at helping Filipinos save, spend, and grow their money more effectively.
