The JC Cares Foundation has launched a large-scale relief operation in Navotas to support families affected by typhoon “Uwan,” one of the strongest storms to hit Luzon this year.
The two-day distribution drive, held on 10 and 11 November 2025 at the Navotas Convention Center, benefited 3,000 families who were severely impacted by the typhoon’s flooding.
Founded by entrepreneurs Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, JC Cares led the effort with the help of 60 volunteers from their organization and partner companies. The team packed and distributed essential goods — including rice, canned food, noodles, milk, coffee, and JC products — embodying the foundation’s principle of “people helping people.”
“The heart of JC Cares has always been to respond quickly and give generously, especially in times of disaster,” the foundation said.
Volunteers were assigned to assist not only in packing but also in logistics, documentation, and managing distribution lines during the event. Their coordination with the local government of Navotas ensured that the relief reached the most affected barangays.
Typhoon “Uwan” caused widespread flooding across Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, hitting low-lying communities like Navotas particularly hard. Relief efforts from both government and private groups have been crucial to easing the immediate needs of displaced residents.
The JC Cares Foundation said it remains committed to its mission of extending aid where it is most needed — bridging emergency response with sustained recovery through compassion, community and action.
