The move follows the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) amid persistent rainfall affecting the area.
According to LGU Gensan, the ongoing unfavorable weather poses potential risks to students and school personnel, prompting authorities to implement precautionary measures to ensure public safety. The suspension applies to all educational institutions within the city.
