Budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) nearly tripled its net income to P9.5 billion for the nine months of the year, up from P3.4 billion a year earlier, driven by higher passenger volumes and improved operational efficiency.

In a stock exchange report on Thursday, the Gokongwei-led firm said total revenue climbed 18 percent to P87.6 billion, supported by 20 million passengers flown, up 14 percent year-on-year, with a seat load factor of 84.8 percent.

The airline’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization rose 26 percent to P22.2 billion, for a 25 percent margin, while core income before tax more than doubled to P2.9 billion.

“CEB delivered a strong year-to-date performance despite seasonal headwinds in the third quarter. This reflects the resilience of our business model, the strength of underlying travel demand, and the discipline of our teams in managing cost and capacity amid an evolving operating environment,” CEB Chief Executive Officer Michael Szucs said.

“We remain committed to making air travel affordable and sustainable for everyone, while ensuring efficiency and reliability as we aim for an even stronger finish to 2025,” he added.

By the end of September, the airline operated over 3,100 weekly flights across 124 routes, supported by an 18 percent rise in available seat kilometers and its ongoing transition to larger, fuel-efficient NEO aircraft.

CEB operates flights to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
