Aurora placed under State of Calamity after #UwanPH

The Provincial Government of Aurora has declared the province under a State of Calamity after 43 percent of its population was affected by the onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan.

During the session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on 11 November, Aurora was officially placed under a State of Calamity through Resolution No. 188, Series of 2025, or A Resolution Declaring a State of Calamity in the Province of Aurora Due to the Disaster Effects of Super Typhoon Uwan.

The declaration was made due to the extensive damage sustained by the province’s infrastructure, agriculture, livestock, and residents’ livelihoods, as reported by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO-Aurora) and endorsed by Engr. Elson Egargue.

Meanwhile, Governor Isidro P. Galban extended recognition to all department heads of the Provincial Government for their hard work and dedication in providing services to affected communities. The recognition was held during the same session.

The governor also led the launch of the Annual Budget–Local Expenditure Program for 2026, where he highlighted the importance and purpose of each program designed for the province’s recovery and development.
