SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its annual Pink October 2025 campaign, hosting nationwide activities that emphasized early detection, education, and support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

The month-long campaign opened with the pink illumination of the SM Mall of Asia Globe in Pasay City and The Cube at SM Seaside City Cebu, serving as symbols of solidarity for women and families affected by breast cancer.

In Cebu, SM Seaside City Cebu and SM City Cebu held a series of activities throughout October, including free breast screenings, the Pink Cancer Chat featuring survivors and advocates, a Pink Fashion Runway, a tote bag exhibit, and a Pink Healing Mass to support emotional recovery and community connection.

Meanwhile, SM City Davao celebrated Pink October on October 9, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Downtown Davao, the city government, and local advocacy group Breast Friends. Activities included the unveiling of the Pink Ribbon, a Pink Pop-Up Fair with Watsons and wellness partners, free screenings, health forums, safety drills, and a Pink Runway and Zumba event, where survivors modeled upcycled fashion designed by local creatives.

Through Pink October, SM Cares continues to stand with every woman, survivor, and advocate in the fight against breast cancer. We remain committed to promoting awareness, early detection, and support for the health and wellness of all women,” said Atty. Pearly Joan Jayagan Turley, SM Cares Program Director for Women and Breastfeeding Mothers.

SM Cares said the initiative reinforces its commitment to women’s health and empowerment, partnering with medical experts, survivor communities, and local organizations to broaden access to information and care.

The campaign forms part of SM Supermalls’ celebration of 40 years in the Philippines, highlighting its role as a community hub for programs promoting wellness, advocacy, sustainability, and inclusive engagement.
