Globe Telecom, Inc. is putting cybersecurity at the core of its artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud expansion as it seals a long-term partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to scale digital services.

“This is a top priority for us. We monitor for potential breaches daily. We make sure systems are secure and our partners are ready,” Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said Thursday.

“It’s not just about speed—it's about safety and reliability.”

With security as its foundation, Globe is utilizing AWS to enhance cloud infrastructure, improve disaster recovery, and support next-generation consumer and enterprise platforms.

The rollout includes AI-powered upgrades for GOMO and enterprise platforms, such as smarter consent and personalization tools. Globe is also implementing a new AWS-backed AI environment for customer lifecycle and real-time insights.

Core telco functions—including SIM activation, mobile number porting, and real-time data processing—are being modernized to accelerate operations and enable targeted campaigns.

AI enhancements include an AWS-built voicebot for automated support.

“By leveraging AWS, we’re moving faster on innovation and experiences that matter. This is about empowering Filipinos in a fast-changing digital world,” Cruz said.

AWS Philippines Country Manager Precious Lim said the partnership demonstrates how cloud and AI can transform the telecom industry.

“We are excited to support Globe in delivering new services to millions of customers,” she said.
