Senate President Vicente Sotto III led the formal turnover ceremony of the Senate Mobile Clinic on Wednesday, 5 November, at the Senate Grounds in Pasay.

The mobile clinic, which was donated by the Department of Health (DOH), aims to provide accessible medical services to remote and underserved communities, offering essential health consultations, diagnostic services, and emergency care.

It also aims to serve as additional support for the daily medical needs of employees, officials, and visitors of the Senate, as well as to respond to medical emergencies in and around the building.

Sotto stressed the significance of the project as the Senate’s continuing commitment to public service that extends beyond legislative work.

"This project embodies our commitment to public service that goes beyond the walls of the Senate. The Senate mobile clinic will bring healthcare closer to the people, particularly the underserved areas," Sotto said.

"This is not just about bringing the equipment closer to the people, it's about bringing hope, compassion, and the assurance that public service is alive and mobile," he added.

The mobile clinic is equipped with an X-ray machine, blood testing facilities, and other diagnostic tools. It will serve as a medical unit on wheels under the Senate Public Assistance Office.
