Budget air carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has expanded its widebody fleet with the delivery of its 13th Airbus A330neo aircraft, enabling the airline to serve more passengers at lower cost and to strengthen its position as the largest A330neo operator in Asia.

The company said Sunday that a 459-seater aircraft arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France. It is the third of four A330neos scheduled for delivery this year, following arrivals on 28 March and 18 July.

“Being the largest A330neo operator in Asia reflects our strong commitment to enhancing connectivity across the region. This aircraft enables us to serve more passengers while keeping costs low, which is a key part of our mission to offer affordable fares for every Juan,” CEB president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

More routes set

To support the airline’s capacity expansion ahead of the holiday season, CEB will start deploying the A330neo on more domestic routes this month, operating four weekly Manila–Puerto Princesa flights beginning November 2 and daily Manila–Bohol services starting 16 November.

The A330neo gives the carrier greater flexibility to serve regional and long-haul routes, as well as high-demand domestic sectors.

With higher seating capacity and improved fuel efficiency, the aircraft helps CEB optimize operations while maintaining cost discipline.

Airbus’ NEO series burns 15 percent less fuel per flight and generates lower noise levels compared to older models, resulting in reduced carbon emissions.
