The Halloween season has officially arrived, and for those craving jump scares, eerie mysteries, and supernatural encounters, streaming platform iWant has a chilling lineup perfect for the long weekend. From real-life hauntings to modern-day horror tales, these five titles promise sleepless nights and edge-of-your-seat thrills.

1. Kababalaghan 7: Pagkagat ng Dilim

Continuing ABS-CBN News’ Halloween tradition, veteran journalist Kabayan Noli de Castro returns with the three-part special Kababalaghan 7: Pagkagat ng Dilim. The documentary-style program delves into real-life hauntings and unexplained phenomena caught on camera.

Viewers can explore the haunted house in Pangasinan through “Lagusan,” witness spine-chilling footage in “Bodega,” and uncover a ghostly mystery in “Photobomber.”

2. Clarita

Inspired by true events, Clarita recounts the terrifying 1953 case of Clarita Villanueva, a 17-year-old inmate at the Manila City Jail whose alleged demonic possession made headlines worldwide. The 2019 film, starring Jodi Sta. Maria offers a haunting dramatization of one of the Philippines’ most infamous supernatural cases — guaranteed to keep viewers sleeping with the lights on.

3. The Healing

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Chito Roño, The Healing” stars Vilma Santos as Seth, who seeks the help of a faith healer for her ailing father. When the healings turn miraculous — and then deadly — a web of mystery unfolds. Starring Kim Chiu among the afflicted, this suspenseful film explores faith, fate, and fear in classic Roño fashion.

4. The Heiress

Philippine folklore takes center stage in The Heiress, led by an all-star cast including Maricel Soriano, Janella Salvador, and Jane De Leon. The story follows Guia, a young woman living with her aunt Luna, a powerful mambabarang (sorceress) intent on passing on her dark legacy. Blending family drama with supernatural horror, the film reaffirms why local myths remain among the most haunting tales in Filipino storytelling.

5. The Gatekeeper

For those seeking a more modern fright, the iWant Original The Gatekeeper — starring Shanaia Gomez and directed by Matthew and Dean Rosen (Quezon’s Game) — delivers a contemporary mix of biblical and folkloric horror. The film follows Cita, an antiques dealer who stumbles upon a mysterious cabinet hiding sinister secrets. Combining mystery, faith and the macabre, it’s a must-watch for fans of intelligent horror.
