The National Housing Authority (NHA) is extending its Condonation 7 program until 31 December 2025 to assist housing beneficiaries affected by recent calamities across various regions of the country.
The Condonation 7 program, dubbed the “largest condonation program in the history of the NHA,” is an initiative of NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai that waives 100 percent of penalties and delinquency interest, as well as 95 percent of unpaid amortization interest for thousands of the agency’s delinquent accounts.
According to the agency’s latest data, a total of P497.951 million in interest charges has already been condoned for 9,850 beneficiary families.
Originally set to end on 31 October 2025, the program began on 1 May this year, giving each housing beneficiary an initial six months to restructure their loans and secure ownership of their homes.
Under the program, incentives will also be granted to beneficiaries with updated accounts or good payment records on their monthly amortization, including discounts and other benefits.
Supporting this initiative, the NHA—through its regional and district offices—has been conducting large-scale information and application drives to inform housing beneficiaries about the program’s requirements and encourage participation.
The Condonation 7 is one of the NHA’s major programs marking its 50th founding anniversary this year. The initiative underscores the agency’s commitment to helping low-income housing beneficiaries achieve financial stability, in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.’s vision of a Bagong Pilipinas.
