‘Our philosophy is to make great design available to the many Filipinos who dream of spaces that bring them joy and closer to each other’

Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA has opened its first Plan and Order Shop in the Philippines at TriNoma Mall in Quezon City, marking its second physical location in the country after the flagship branch in Pasay City.

The new 500-square-meter store aims to make the brand affordable and sustainable home solutions more accessible to residents of northern Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Bulacan and Pampanga.

Unlike the full-sized Pasay branch, the TriNoma outlet functions primarily as a planning and consultation hub for customers designing kitchens, wardrobes and living areas. It features design vignettes showcasing IKEA’s modular furniture and décor, along with a selection of cooking and dining accessories available for immediate purchase.

Customers can browse the brand’s complete catalog of more than 8,500 products via in-store digital tools, place orders online, and collect their purchases directly from the shop — a model designed to blend physical and digital retail experiences.

“Almost four years ago, IKEA said its first ‘hello’ to the Philippines when we opened our first store in Pasay City. Today, I’m proud to share that we’re now in Quezon City with our first Plan and Order Shop at TriNoma, in collaboration with Ayala Malls,” Ricardo Pinheiro, IKEA Philippines country retail manager.

Pinheiro added that the store serves as both a pick-up and planning hub for customers who prefer convenience without sacrificing expert guidance.

“They can sit down with our design specialists at the consultation and planning zone, and also shop curated items available for same-day purchase,” he said.

The shop operates on a cashless payment system, accepting only digital and card transactions to streamline the checkout process.

The opening ceremony was led by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines Anna Ferry, Ayala Land senior vice president Mariana Zobel de Ayala, and Pinheiro. The event underscored IKEA’s continued expansion in the Philippines in partnership with Ayala Malls, aligning with its goal to reach more households across the metro.

TriNoma’s strategic location — serving Quezon City, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela, as well as northern Luzon via NLEX and Skyway 3 — positions the shop as a convenient access point for IKEA’s growing customer base in the north.

“Our philosophy is to make great design available to the many Filipinos who dream of spaces that bring them joy and closer to each other, especially around Christmastime,” Pinheiro added.

The IKEA Plan and Order Shop is located on Level 1, TriNoma Mall, at the corner of North Avenue and EDSA, Quezon City. Customers can also place orders online through the IKEA Philippines website for pickup or home delivery.
