Plantation Bay Resort and Spa has introduced  its latest wellness innovation — the Floating Sound Bath and Meditation experience, a transformative journey designed to promote deep relaxation, emotional balance and mental clarity to guests seeking a rejuvenating escape from the pressures of daily life.

Held in the serene tropical ambiance of one of the resorts’ tranquil freshwater pools at Savannah, this experience seamlessly blends two powerful therapeutic practices: Floatation therapy and sound healing.

Participants gently float on water while being surrounded by the resonant tones of crystal bowls, gongs and other harmonic instruments that create soothing frequencies to calm the mind and rejuvenate the spirit.

This immersive experience encourages guests to let go, as the water gently supports the body while the sound frequencies calm the mind. The result is a meditative state that fosters inner peace, mindfulness and overall well-being.

With its continued commitment to holistic well-being, Plantation Bay Resort and Spa reinforces its position as a premier destination for travelers seeking not just relaxation, but also meaningful mind-body rejuvenation.

Cebu exhibit featuring local and international artists

Cebu’s premier art hub, Qube Gallery once again teamed up with unconventional curator JT Gonzales to present Lucky Bling, a celebration of pop surrealism and imagination.

The exhibition challenged five young artists: Vinism from Iligan; Enric Carl Callangan, hometown artist; Raffael Arlief from Yogyakarta, Indonesia; Soothsayer from Bulacan and Mark Weigh from Manila to explore the idea of hidden treasures and whimsical discoveries, whether in a familiar backyard or revealed through dreamlike realities.

This marks the very first time that these artists have exhibited together in Cebu, a rare opportunity for the local art scene to engage with such dramatic styles under one roof.

The opening night drew a delighted crowd of art lovers and artists eager to see their peers with Qube director Maris Holopainen on hand to greet the guests. Spotted were Kaye Luym, photographer Dwight Lu and restaurateur Rachel Genco.

Plastic surgeon and art connoisseur Dr. Fremont Base made an appearance alongside personalities Marwin Maxilom and  Denmarc Bitonio, while art community stalwarts Wyndelle Remonde, Fleur Puao and Daot were seen thoughtfully examining the artworks on  display.

At the end of the evening, the air was charged with celebration and gratitude both for the successful collaboration between Qube and JT Gonzales and for the talents unearthed from unexpected corners.
