IiP cites UnionBank’s DEI culture

UnionBank’s sustained efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workplace has been recognized at the Investors in People (IiP) Philippines Awards 2025.

The recognition was the first for UnionBank from IiP, reflecting how the bank integrates diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into its broader talent and growth strategy.

Michelle Rubio, UnionBank’s chief human resource officer, touts the bank’s flagship DEI program, UMatter, which is rooted in the idea that inclusivity fuels innovation and productivity.

“This award from Investors in People affirms what we’ve always believed — that a culture of inclusion doesn’t just feel right; it performs,” Rubio said.
