Christopher "Bong" Go denies allegations linking him to a flood control project contract reportedly acquired by his family’s business, insisting he has no involvement in the venture and emphasizing that he has always maintained a strict separation between his public office and private business interests.

Go noted that the allegations first surfaced during his 2018 senatorial run, and have since appeared in his 2022 and 2025 campaigns.

“I will repeat what I said for the record, even before I entered public office, my family already had legitimate and proper businesses. But not once, not even a peso, has my family benefited from my role in government,” he said in filipino.

In light of the involvement claims thrown at the Senator, he plans to write to the author of Senate Bill 783 to include himself as a co-author. The bill aims to prevent the relatives of government officials from participating in government-funded projects.

“To finally put an end to these speculations, I will write to the main author of Senate Bill 783 to make me a co-author. This proposal seeks to prohibit relatives of government officials, up to the fourth civil degree of consanguinity and affinity, from entering any government contracts, from the national level down to local government units,” Go added.
