The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has rolled out a series of aid and funding initiatives across the country, benefiting communities in Marinduque, Nueva Ecija, and Cebu as part of its continuing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
On 31 July 2025, PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles led the turnover of essential food and emergency supplies to Sta. Cruz, Marinduque during a ceremony at the agency’s main office in Mandaluyong City. Mayor Marisa Red-Martinez personally received the donations, which included ChariTimba food packs—containing rice, canned goods, noodles, and coffee—and a full set of rescue and emergency kits such as weighing scales, first aid kits, nebulizers, oxygen tanks with regulators, trauma bags, rescue ropes, stretchers, and life jackets.
“This assistance will have a significant impact on our constituents,” Mayor Red-Martinez said, thanking PCSO for strengthening the municipality’s disaster preparedness.
In Nueva Ecija, PCSO Director Imelda Papin brought the ChariTimba program to Nampicuan on 7 August 2025, distributing food packs to senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Nampicuan Mayor Mario Lacurom said the aid would allow families to allocate savings from food expenses to other essentials. The event also featured a musical performance by Papin, delighting local residents.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Mamandil, Talavera, PCSO Assistant General Manager for Charity Sector Lauro A. Patiag turned over medical devices and emergency rescue kits on 4 August 2025. Barangay Captain Roy Diamsay received the donations, which included oxygen tanks, trauma bags, search lights, radios, rescue ropes, stretchers, helmets, life jackets, and evacuation supply kits, noting their importance in preparing the community for calamities and typhoons.
Earlier, on 9 July 2025, PCSO handed over a check for P663,308.28 to Cebu Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, representing the province’s lotto share for the period of July to December 2024. Under PCSO’s revenue-sharing mandate, a portion of lottery proceeds is allocated to local governments to support welfare and development programs.
Across these activities, PCSO reaffirmed its commitment to delivering aid and strengthening the capacity of local government units.
“PCSO, Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong!” remains the agency’s rallying cry as it continues to channel gaming revenues into meaningful assistance for Filipinos nationwide.
