The Manila season of Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular will now close on 1 March 2026, following a two-week extension announced by its producers.
Originally scheduled from 20 January to 15 February, the final performances will still be staged at The Theatre at Solaire. Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, confirmed this will be the last extension.
The decision was driven by strong ticket demand. Thousands joined the waitlist ahead of sales when the Manila engagement was first announced. GMG Productions CEO Carlos Candal said the overwhelming response showed how strongly the musical connects with Filipino audiences.
"This version of the show has never been seen before on the Manila stage, and we’re thrilled more fans will now get the chance to experience it,” he said.
Adapted from the West End’s Les Misérables: The Staged Concert, which ran for over 200 record-breaking performances, the touring production features new set and lighting designs, an international all-star cast, and a company of more than 110, including Filipino and international musicians. Full casting will be announced in the coming months.
Tickets for the extended run are available exclusively through TicketWorld. Producers have stated that no further extensions will be made beyond March 1.
Based on Victor Hugo’s novel, Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel. It is directed by James Powell and Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy, with design by Matt Kinley, costumes by Andreane Neofitou, Christine Rowland, and Paul Wills, lighting by Paule Constable and Warren Letton, sound by Mick Potter, and projections by Finn Ross. Music supervision is by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo, with Adrian Kirk conducting the orchestra.
The Manila season is presented by GMG Productions, with UnionBank of the Philippines as the official 2025 season bank sponsor.
