Cainta mayor thanks doctors for helping young cancer patients

Two specialist doctors have promptly responded to the request of Cainta Mayor Keith Nieto to address the urgent medical needs of children battling cancer.

Nieto expressed his gratitude to Dr. May Priscilla Cero and Dr. Ivy Bernardo for their positive response and willingness to serve, highlighting their spirit of self-sacrifice.

In a social media post, Nieto shared that parents had approached him seeking help for their children — one diagnosed with leukemia, the other with lymphoma.

Malaking pondo lagi ang katapat,” Nieto said.

The mayor said he instructed Cainta Municipal Hospital administrator Dr. Antonio Jayson Sierra to find an oncologist-hematologist from private hospitals who could serve as a consultant for the LGU-run facility.

Isa siyang pediatric hematologist oncologist,” he said.

Nieto thanked Dr. Cero, calling her arrival a blessing for sick children.

Sobrang salamat sa ‘yo at maligayang pagdating sa Cainta,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bernardo — an obstetrician-gynecologist — recently responded to the mayor's call to manage the birthing clinic of the newly opened Karangalan Super Health Center.
