As the 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) draw near, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has partnered with SM Supermalls to provide voters with an easier, more accessible way to register. From 1 to 10 August 2025, 35 SM malls, along with 11 other SM establishments across the Philippines, will serve as official satellite registration hubs.
This initiative, which is an extension of the successful voter registration program during the May 2025 National and Local Elections, offers voters the convenience of registering, updating, or reactivating their voter records inside malls they are familiar with. The registration is available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with specific schedules at each location.
According to Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls, “We’re proud to offer more than just convenience — we’re creating a platform for inclusive civic engagement.” During the May 2025 elections, over 37,000 voters registered at SM malls, achieving an impressive 81% turnout, the highest among venue partners.
The program is particularly beneficial for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women, providing them with air-conditioned, spacious venues, easy access, and security while fulfilling their civic duty.
