Recognizing the power and impact of collaborative social projects, the League of Corporate Foundations honored three members with a CSR Guild Award.

Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI), Metrobank Foundation Inc. and Manila Water Foundation (MWF) Inc. received the award for Outstanding CSR Collaboration Project as their Roots to Shoots (RTS) program tackles childhood malnutrition through nutrition, water access, sanitation and agriculture interventions.

RTS was demonstrated by MWF in another collaboration with Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Clark Water, World Vision Philippines, Clark Development Corporation and PSFI. The consortium has put up the first deep well water system Sitio Burog in Bamban, Tarlac, giving 127 Ayta Mag-antsi households the benefits of potable, reliable and safe water.

The same infrastructure nurtures a communal vegetable garden, a component of the RTS that ensures food and check malnutrition among local children.

Through RTS, the Ayta families also received livelihood assistance, such as fertilizer and plant care training to help them grow food, earn and build a healthier, more resilient future.
