A new chapter in urban hospitality is unfolding as Ayala Land Hospitality (ALH) partners with Marriott International to bring Moxy Hotels to the Philippines, starting with Moxy Circuit Makati. Set within Circuit Makati’s 21-hectare mixed-use development, the new hotel promises a bold, socially charged experience tailored for modern travelers who crave both creativity and connection.

Located in what was once the historic Sta. Ana racetrack, the soon-to-rise Moxy Circuit Makati will feature 260 rooms and offer easy access to retail shops, event venues, active lifestyle zones, and arts spaces, a location designed for those who live and work with intention and flair.

“Moxy Hotels is celebrated worldwide for its playful, high-energy vibe that makes travel feel exciting and different,” said Kevin Iranzo, Director, Hotel Development – Philippines, Marriott International. “It’s the perfect fit for dynamic urban destinations filled with culture and entertainment. We’re truly excited to bring Moxy Hotels to the Philippines and especially in Circuit Makati.”

The hotel’s signature concept starts at the lobby, where check-ins happen at Bar Moxy with a room key and a signature welcome drink in hand. Guests will find multi-functional rooms with comfort-driven design and shared spaces that encourage community, productivity, and spontaneity including a fitness center, swimming pool, meeting rooms, and event spaces.

With a focus on cultural relevance and visual storytelling, Moxy Circuit Makati will also showcase original interior art from Filipino comic book artists. The lively designs are meant to capture the humor, nostalgia, and imaginative energy of the country’s komiks scene.

“We are excited to design something truly lifestyle-driven, while beginning to tell the story of a different kind of art form, an ode to the illustrators and komiks artists who have long shaped a powerful visual narrative in the Philippines,” shared Creative Director Paloma Urquijo Zobel de Ayala. “Moxy is set to be our guests’ backstage pass to the city’s creative pulse. From design to service touchpoints, every stay is thoughtfully curated to reflect the spirit of the neighborhood and the moments that matter, always with a dash of fun and a sense of adventure. Whether you’re creatively curious or simply seeking a design-forward, accessible stay, Moxy is poised to become the go-to destination in Manila’s rising arts hub, and we can’t wait to share this project with you.”

The debut of Moxy in Manila is part of ALH’s ambitious goal to double its room inventory to 8,000 by 2030. The company is positioning itself at the forefront of a hospitality wave focused not just on comfort, but on character and cultural immersion.

“Our vision remains steadfast: to bring Filipino hospitality to the global stage by crafting experiences that connect guests more deeply with each place and its culture,” said ALH President and CEO George Aquino. “With Moxy Hotels, we offer travelers a playful and vibrant hotel experience. We’re excited to collaborate with Marriott to create what we believe will set a new benchmark for authentic, dynamic, and imaginative urban destinations.”

Marriott, which currently operates 12 properties in the country across six brands, plans to further grow its Philippine portfolio. As more travelers seek destinations that blend story, service, and soul, Moxy Circuit Makati is shaping up to be a standout in the city’s hospitality and creative landscape.
