Clark Freeport— The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) has aligned its ongoing and upcoming flagship projects with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) goals of bolstering infrastructure, agriculture, health, and education.

In a statement released 30 July 2025, CIAC President Jojit Alcazar said the agency has made “significant breakthroughs” in implementing projects that support the administration’s nation-building directives, including efforts to transform Clark into the country’s premier logistics hub.

Among these is the development of a modernized National Food Hub, which supports the government’s drive for sustainable food security and aquaculture. Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. earlier announced that 47 hectares had been designated for the hub, with an initial 12-hectare development to be fast-tracked.

The food hub is designed to centralize the storage, processing, and distribution of agricultural products, while also improving access for farmers, traders, and consumers. Alcazar added that this initiative complements the Luzon Economic Corridor, further positioning the Philippines as a logistics and agribusiness gateway in the Asia-Pacific.

On healthcare, CIAC is partnering with the Philippine Pharma Procurement Inc. (PPPI) to establish a pharmaceutical logistics and distribution center in Clark, equipped with advanced air cargo handling systems.

PPPI President Maria Blanca Kim Lokin said the collaboration “provides an unparalleled advantage for PPPI’s logistics operations and medical supply distribution, enabling us to build an integrated, modern warehousing facility with cold chain solutions.”

“The developments jointly undertaken by PPPI and CIAC will be instrumental in rolling out the Botika at Bakuna Para Sa Mamamayan Program,” she added.

CIAC is also pushing its Urban Renewal Program, featuring flood mitigation systems and innovations such as rainwater harvesting and wastewater treatment technologies to support Clark’s growth as a global logistics hub.

Key projects under the program include the Dolores Riverpark, which will feature rainwater and wastewater recycling systems, and the Aviation Park, which will incorporate an underground rainwater impounding facility.

Alcazar also announced plans for a world-class indoor sports arena—designed to meet international standards—that will serve as a flexible venue for local and global sporting events. The Clark Sports Arena is envisioned to promote fitness and wellness while supporting President Marcos Jr.’s grassroots and “sports-for-all” initiatives.

Aligned with the President’s emphasis on education, CIAC is moving forward with plans for a Clark Aviation Campus offering state-of-the-art facilities and industry-specific programs, strategically located near the Clark International Airport.

The project aims to position Clark as a key training ground for globally competitive aviation professionals, supporting the growing global demand for skilled workers in the sector. Alcazar said the initiative responds to the President’s call for better education systems through enhanced civil aviation training and pilot development programs.

CIAC manages Clark Aviation Capital, which includes Clark International Airport, the mixed-use Clark Global City, and more than 50 locators across aviation, logistics, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing sectors.
