18 national road sections closed to public

Eighteen national road sections are closed to the public due to the combined effects of the southwest monsoon (habagat), Tropical Cyclone "Crising," and a low-pressure area (LPA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Tuesday.

Of the total, 12 national road sections were closed in the National Capital Region (NCR), three in the Cordillera Administrative Region, two in Central Luzon, and one in Western Visayas due to high water elevation, road cuts, soil collapse, and flooding.

Closed roads include:

• Apayao (Calanasan)-Ilocos Norte Road, Tanglagan in Calanasan, Apayao

• Claveria-Calanasan-Flora-Lasam Road, Barangay Ninoy in Calanasan, Apayao

• Kennon Road, Camp 6 in Tuba, Benguet

• G. Araneta cor. Maria Clara St., Quezon City

• Sto. Domingo Ave. cor. Calamba St., Quezon City

• Maria Clara St. cor. G. Araneta Ave. to Sto. Domingo Ave., Quezon City

• Sto. Domingo Ave. (cor. Maria Clara St.), Quezon City

• General Luis Street cor. Ambrocia St., Quezon City

Meanwhile, 15 national road sections also have limited access—seven in NCR, five in Central Luzon, two in the Zamboanga Peninsula, and one in Calabarzon—due to flooding, precautionary closures, soil collapse, fallen trees, road slips, and washed-out detour roads.
