Aboitiz Foundation, Renewables get CSR award

Aboitiz Foundation Inc. was awarded the 2025 CSR Guild Award for Arts and Culture by the League of Corporate Foundations for reviving traditional textiles during the 2025 LCF Conference and Expo on 1 July 2025.

Aboitiz Foundation and Aboitiz Renewables have partnered with the Guihean IP Women’s Association and the Kalandang Weavers Association in undertaking Tahi ‘Ta which recognizes the strength and determination of indigenous Higaonon women in Bukidnon and preserving their culture while building a source of income.

“Through sewing and beading, they pass on their heritage, grow their confidence, and shape better futures for their families and communities,” read a post by Hedcor Group on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the award.

Hedcor is the hydropower unit of AboitizPower.

Aside from Aboitiz Foundation, LCF also awarded five other members with the 2025 CSR Guild Award namely Ayala Foundation Inc. for enterprise development relative to its Iraya Mangyan weaving program supporting indigenous artisans; Vivant Foundation Inc. for education in relation to its Project Liadlaw, which brings solar power to off-grid schools; Metro Pacific Investments Foundation Inc. for environment relative to expanding its MPIC Guardians Program to strengthen coastal conservation in Siargao and Mabini; and Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation Inc. for disaster resilience in connection with its development of inclusive preparedness tools for the deaf community.

LCF also honored non-member organizations for their CSRs by awarding the CSR Medal of Recognition. The awardees were Pioneer Adhesives Foundation Inc., First Gen Corporation, Fluor Daniel Inc., Philippines, Pascual Laboratories, Pioneer Adhesives Foundation Inc. and Juanito I. King Foundation Inc.
