Lotus has given its electric hypercars a tidy makeover, not with new bodywork, but with simpler naming and trim options that make it easier for buyers to pick the right flavor of speed and style.
Starting this summer, the Eletre SUV and Emeya GT will be offered as either “600” or “900” models, straightforward numbers that hint at their horsepower ratings. The 600 versions pack 603 hp, while the 900s ramp things up to 905 hp.
Trim names are getting a nostalgic twist, too. Lotus is bringing back old-school badges like GT SE and SPORT SE, familiar to longtime fans but now paired with high-tech electric machines.
For the Eletre, there are now five main versions:
Eletre 600: Dual-motor AWD, 112kWh battery, 20-inch wheels, 29-inch head-up display, and new LOTUSWEAR fabric in Jasper trim.
600 GT SE: Adds a panoramic glass roof, 22-inch wheels, upgraded 23-speaker KEF audio, and illuminated side sills.
600 SPORT SE: Aimed at driving enthusiasts, this one includes Lotus’ dynamic handling pack, an active rear spoiler, and massaging front seats.
900 SPORT: Jumps to a 905-hp setup with a 2-speed transmission and a new Quartz interior theme.
900 SPORT CARBON: Tacks on carbon packs inside and out, a composite sport bonnet, and ventilated seats.
The Emeya GT mirrors this structure, offering similar trims and equipment upgrades, from KEF speakers and intelligent roofs to active aero features and comfort seats.
Buyers also get new paint colors, Zenith White and Akoya White, and two fresh interior themes, Quartz and Jasper. As usual, customers can mix in optional packs and personalize finishes to their taste.
Even with the refreshed lineup, performance hasn’t taken a back seat. The 600 trims get from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (4.15 seconds for Emeya) and top out at 256 km/h. But the 900 models are where things get wild. Emeya 900 can hit 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds, with the Eletre 900 close behind at 2.95 seconds.
Both can go the distance, too. The Emeya has a maximum range of up to 610 km (Eletre: 600 km), and charging won’t keep you waiting long. Thanks to 800V tech, the Emeya can jump from 10 to 80 percent in just 14 minutes with a 400kW charger. The Eletre isn’t far behind, doing the same in 20 minutes on a 350kW charger.
Despite the shift to EVs, Lotus promises the Eletre and Emeya still feel like Lotuses. That means sharp handling, refined aerodynamics, and lightweight thinking, with design elements borrowed from its halo car, the Evija, and the Emira coupe. One standout design feature is “porosity,” where air flows through the body to reduce drag and boost stability.
Inside, both cars offer luxury touches like ambient lighting, high-end materials, and customizable tech to suit driver preference. Comfort is not overlooked either, with four-zone climate control and ventilated, massaging seats rounding out the experience.
