Taguig cops nab high-value drug suspect

A man tagged as a high-value drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation early Tuesday morning by Taguig City Police.

The suspect, identified as alias “Alden,” 32, was apprehended around 3:30 AM at his residence in Purok 7, PNR Site, FTI Compound, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.

The sting operation led to the seizure of approximately 25.64 grams of suspected shabu worth P174,352, along with marked buy-bust money. Also confiscated were six sachets of shabu, a green pouch, a P500 bill, and five P1,000 boodle bills used in the operation.

Alias “Alden” is currently in the custody of the Taguig City Police Station (Taguig CPS) and faces charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was executed by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Taguig CPS, led by officer-in-charge PCol. Bryan Allatog, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Southern Police District chief PBGen. Randy Arceo called on individuals involved in the illegal drug trade and emphasized that they will be pursued, arrested, and made accountable.
