From across the room, I could spot general manager Ali Banting his face glowing with pride and satisfaction as he admired the exceptional work of his talented culinary team, whose dedication and skill had brought the authentic tastes of Cebu to life.
The gala featured spectacular terno collections from creative and artistic designers like Protacio Jun Escario, Edwin Ao, Jojie Lloren, Joey Samson and for the finale Cary Santiago whose designs stood out for their intricate craftsmanship and innovative use of plumes and natural materials inspired by animals and nature that lent mesmerizing, modern yet classic touch to his couture pieces.
This much-awaited event aims to promote the terno as a symbol of Filipino identity, encouraging more Filipinas, especially in Cebu to embrace the traditional attire beyond political circles. It also marked a vibrant return to large scale events in Cebu reinforcing the ternos place in contemporary Filipino fashion and society.
