The mayoral candidates of Caloocan, Malabon, and Valenzuela officially kicked off their new three-year terms.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan took his oath at the Caloocan Sports Complex, where he emphasized the continuation of his programs during his second term.

Without naming anyone, the city mayor took a swipe at “some few” who claimed that money dominated the recent midterm elections.

"It wasn’t money that prevailed in the last election, but compassion and genuine service over the years,” Malapitan said in Filipino.

A day after the election, Caloocan mayoral candidate Antonio Trillanes IV hinted that they failed to overcome the “money force” used to retain power.

"But we still couldn’t withstand the power of our opponent’s money, which exploits the poverty of our fellow citizens just to remain in power," he said.

Malapitan also vowed that they will repay the votes with hard work and service.

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval showcases the new Mobile Shower Truck, which is intended to support residents’ hygiene needs during disasters.

In Malabon City, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval started her new term by launching the Mobile Services on Wheels program.

Under the program, different vehicles will be deployed within the city’s 21 barangays including Mobile Power Washer, Mobile Shower, Mobile Charging Station, Mobile Water Tanker, Mobile Water Purifier/Charging Station, and Mobile Kitchen.

Dental checkups, laboratory testing, HIV testing and medical consultations are also available through the city’s Mobile Clinic, Mobile Xray Services Culion Foundation Incorporated, and Dental Health Bus.

"Alongside strengthening our programs, we are also ensuring that more of our fellow citizens — including their beloved pets — benefit from them. That is why we will strive even harder to expand and increase the programs meant for you,” Sandoval said.

Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie Gatchalian takes his oath in Casa De Polo with his family

Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie Gatchalian took oath at Casa De Polo wherein they gave tribute to outgoing three-termer councilors.

Gatchalian vowed that under his second term, the local government will continue its effort to develop Valenzuela City into more liveable and inclusive by bringing quality services towards its barangays.

The city mayor is set to address his constituents through a State of the Health Address this Tuesday, 1 July, where he is expected to tackle the development of the healthcare system in the city.
