CEB taps Lufthansa tech to cut delays

Cebu Pacific (CEB) has signed a deal with Germany-based airline information technology provider Lufthansa Systems to roll out a next-generation operations control and crew management system to improve flight reliability and overall passenger experience.

The Gokongwei-led budget airline said Tuesday that the new system, set for rollout this year and unveiled at the Paris Air Show, will enable faster, data-driven decisions during flight disruptions by analyzing weather, airspace, and aircraft performance.

“This partnership is central to enabling the scaling of our operations. We’re investing in the internal infrastructure with world-class systems that will enhance safety, operational resilience, efficiency, and crew wellbeing as we grow our fleet and expand our network across the region,” CEB Chief Executive Officer Mike Szücs said.

Backed by ROIS/Pi, the NetLine suite from Lufthansa Systems features real-time disruption management and machine-learning-driven crew rostering.

“We are proud to support Cebu Pacific’s ambitious vision. Together, we’re building a scalable, future-ready operations platform,” Lufthansa Systems CEO Stefanie Neumann said.

Once fully rolled out, CEB expects the platform to improve flight scheduling, aircraft utilization, and regulatory compliance—leading to better on-time performance and enhanced passenger experience.

The airline said the technology will allow its operations team to respond quickly to minimize delays and reduce inconvenience to travelers.
