A three-year-old girl was injured after being pinned by an overturned passenger tricycle, locally known as a toktok, in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The incident occurred along Felix Huertas Street, local barangay officials said Saturday.

Reports said the child was crossing the road when the trike suddenly braked, causing it to flip over and land on her.

Three passengers also sustained injuries. They claimed the driver was speeding at the time of the accident.

All victims were brought to the hospital for treatment.

The child’s family and the driver have reached a temporary settlement, barangay officials added.

Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man listed under the “Other Wanted Persons” category was arrested by Manila Police District Station 2 on Tahimik Street, Barangay 12, Tondo.

Authorities identified the suspect only by the alias “Jan.”

He is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property and multiple physical injuries, based on a warrant issued by the Municipal Trial Court of Imus, Cavite.

The suspect remains in police custody pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
