For young Filipinos dreaming of making a difference, technology is more than just a tool. It is a bridge to bigger possibilities. Globe knows this well. As a company built on innovation, Globe is using what it knows best to help the next generation build their future through mentorship, technology, and real opportunities.
Through the Globe Community Builders Program, students across the country are stepping beyond their classrooms and discovering how their creativity, passion, and leadership can spark real change. More than just offering platforms, Globe has been working alongside the youth to provide hands-on mentorship, real-world projects, and access to communities that share their purpose.
For student leader Christiane Guanzon of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, it all started with a simple invitation to a “Kapihan” session. What followed was a journey that opened his eyes to the bigger picture of what Globe stands for.
“I used to think Globe was just about tech. But through all these events and conversations, I saw how much they genuinely invest in community-building,” Christiane said.
What began with joining a Marvel screening led to volunteering for Pitch Day, Globe’s signature event that gathers student organizations to present their passion projects to experts and mentors. Held at The Globe Tower, Pitch Day is more than just a competition. It is a platform where students receive guidance, support, and real connections with people who can help bring their ideas to life.
“It’s rare to find brands that really trust young people,” Christiane added. “Globe didn’t just let me in the room. They gave me responsibilities, mentorship, and encouragement to lead.”
Globe’s support for youth goes beyond leadership events. For Miguel Isiah Diva of Technological University of the Philippines, his story began with a painting. Tails and Trails, created as a tribute to his late dog Bochok, won the Globe x Art Toys Online Contest and became the start of something bigger.
“Winning that contest made me feel seen,” Miguel shared. “As a student, as an artist, and as someone who simply wanted to tell a story that mattered to me.”
This recognition brought him to Art in the Park, where Miguel painted alongside other artists in support of Pawssion Project, an animal welfare group backed by Globe.
“It wasn’t just about the art,” Miguel said. “It was the people I met, the mission behind it, and the feeling that my creativity had a place in the world. Globe helped me realize that my voice and my brush can make a difference.”
Meanwhile, for Franchezka Zapanta, moving from Mindanao to Manila for college was a leap into the unknown. Globe’s events provided her with a place to belong and grow. Eventually, she became president of DLSU SCALE, the university’s startup organization, and launched her own tech platform, BitDigest.io.
“Showing up was my silent act of courage,” Franchezka said. “Then one day, I realized I didn’t feel out of place anymore. I felt welcome.”
She later returned to Pitch Day not as a participant but as a mentor, this time guiding other young founders as they shaped their own projects.
“When brands like Globe believe in you, you start to believe in yourself too,” she said. “And that’s when real change begins.”
For Jessie James Valera of Our Lady of Fatima University, Globe became a platform to express creative courage through fashion, performance, and makeup. Being part of Art Fair Philippines, Art in the Park, and other Globe-led events gave Jessie a space to explore bold artistic expression.
“My art isn’t just about the look. It’s about telling a story, expressing emotion, and connecting with others,” Jessie said.
From student leaders to artists to tech founders, these young changemakers prove that when creativity is matched with mentorship and innovation, real impact happens.
“At Globe, we’re committed to supporting the Filipino youth, helping them shape their creative journeys and become co-builders of the future,” said Andrew Lim, Lead for Marketing Youth Cultures.
With the right opportunities, the youth are not just imagining the future. They are building it.
