Mober enters Thailand market

Mober, a homegrown electric vehicle logistics company from the Philippines, has just expanded into Thailand. It’s a key move in their push to bring sustainable delivery services to more parts of Southeast Asia.

The rollout starts with 21 electric trucks now operating in Bangkok’s Bang Na district, mainly serving IKEA Thailand’s last-mile delivery needs. To support this, Mober built a 1,600-square-meter charging hub equipped with four 22-kW chargers and two 60-kW fast chargers. The setup is expected to handle around 150 to 200 delivery drops a day.

“Mober takes pride in bringing its green logistics model to Thailand,” said Jade Hugo, Mober co-founder and head of New Business. “We are optimistic that our presence will not only support the logistics sector but also contribute positively to Thailand’s evolving urban sustainability efforts.”

The expansion adds to what’s already been a big year for Mober. In February, they launched the Philippines’ first fully electric tractor head truck for heavy-duty logistics. A month later, they opened a 3,000-square-meter EV charging hub in the country — the largest so far — with a total of 56 charging ports.

“Our move into Thailand aligns with our broader goal of becoming the leading green logistics provider in Southeast Asia,” said Mober CEO Dennis Ng. “This is not only about vehicle deployment, but about investing in long-term, efficient infrastructure for sustainable urban delivery.”

Looking ahead, Mober plans to grow its Thai operations further by early 2026. They’re also raising new funding to keep both the Philippine and Thai fleets running and expanding.

The Thailand launch follows Mober’s recent inclusion in Forbes Asia’s 100 to Watch List, which recognizes emerging companies making a strong impact in the region. Mober received the award during the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch Forum on 20 May 2025, in Singapore.

“The Forbes recognition affirms the relevance of our mission,” Ng added. “We remain focused on enabling businesses to lower their carbon emissions with zero upfront investment, while continuing to expand our regional impact.”
