Two alleged high-value drug targets were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Tuesday, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported.
In a statement released Thursday, the SPD identified the suspects only by their aliases: “Oliver,” 33, and “Ramon,” 43. They were apprehended around 8:25 PM in the parking lot of a fast-food chain along Medina Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio during an operation conducted by the SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit.
Seized from the suspects were approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, valued at around P680,000. Authorities also recovered a mobile phone and the marked money used in the operation.
The suspects are reportedly involved in the illegal drug trade across southern Metro Manila and are currently in police custody. Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
