ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, through the Ministry of Public Works (BARMM-MPW), has completed the construction of a hanging bridge in Marogong municipality in Lanao del Sur (LDS) and a concrete road with solar street lights in Pikit, North Cotabato.
Lanao del Sur 2nd District Engineering Office Acting District Engineer Abdulmaomit M. Tomawis said yesterday that the construction of a hanging bridge in Barangay Bolawanen, Marogong town, was completed on Wednesday.
Tomawis said, “This infrastructure project has had a profound impact on the lives of the community’s residents.”
Residents living in the village expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the bridge project.
They said, “This bridge is more precious to us than gold, as it will benefit not only our generation but also those to come. We are deeply grateful for this lasting legacy.”
According to Tomawis, “The project has been a huge help to the neighboring barangays, empowering residents to access essential services, markets and opportunities.”
Additionally, he said, “With the bridge, residents can now easily transport their products directly to market using motorcycles, greatly improving their access to economic opportunities.”
By providing safe and reliable access, the Bolawanen Bridge has become a symbol of progress and development in the community, reflecting the MPW’s unwavering commitment to building a better future for the people it serves.
