The National Police Commission (Napolcom) will award Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) certificates to 209 police lieutenant colonels during the 19th PESE conferment rites on 5 June at the Jesse M. Robredo Hall in Quezon City.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, who also chairs Napolcom, will serve as guest of honor and speaker. He will be joined by vice chair and executive officer Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, commissioners Ricardo P. Bernabe, Josephus G. Angan and Beatrice Aurora A. Vega-Cancio.
The conferment follows a two-phase selection process involving a written exam and a validation interview. The process aims to assess leadership, judgment, and commitment to public service values.
The PESE certificate is required for promotion to third-level police ranks, from colonel to general, under Napolcom Resolution 2006-082. It serves as an endorsement of an officer’s readiness to take on senior leadership roles in areas such as public safety and ethical governance.
Calinisan underscored the importance of maintaining high standards in police leadership. “This distinction reflects not only their qualifications but also their dedication to exemplary public service,” he said.
“The PESE is not merely an eligibility. It is a testament to an officer’s readiness to lead with integrity, vision, and courage. Through this program, we ensure that the highest standards of leadership and public service are consistently met and sustained,” he added.
