Malacañang held a press briefing on 30 May 2025 led by Usec. Claire Castro, Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, and PCO Asec. Erel Cabatbat, highlighting President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s key accomplishments, including affordable rice, enhanced public safety, diplomatic breakthroughs, and the arrest of former lawmaker Arnie Teves.

The administration celebrated the nationwide rollout of the P20 per kilo “BBM rice,” now available in Kadiwa centers and praised by citizens for easing daily expenses.

In response to rising crime concerns, over 21,000 police officers have been deployed across Metro Manila, making residents feel safer under the recalibrated anti-crime initiative.

The Department of Transportation also reported ongoing efforts to improve public commuting, in line with the President’s push for infrastructure upgrades.

A major announcement was the repatriation of ex-Congressman Arnulfo “Arnie” Teves Jr., who was turned over to Philippine authorities after a complex operation involving several government agencies. Teves was arrested upon arrival in Manila, with authorities denying his request not to be handcuffed.

The Palace also addressed political issues, dismissing claims linking President Marcos to former President Duterte’s legal troubles and offering no comment on Senator Imee Marcos’ cryptic post.

Finally, officials confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment was not discussed at the recent LEDAC meeting, which focused instead on legislative priorities aimed at improving governance and public health.
