LTO suspends viral motovlogger’s license

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has penalized social media personality “Yanna Motovlog” following her viral road rage incident in Zambales.

LTO chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II announced Thursday that Yanna Motovlog was fined P5,000 for operating a motorcycle without side mirrors and an additional P2,000 for reckless driving.

Her driver’s license has also been suspended until she complies with the LTO’s order to surrender the motorcycle she used during the incident, which she admitted was not her own.

In a seven-page decision, the LTO stated that the violations committed by Yanna Motovlog were captured in the viral video she herself uploaded to her social media account.

These included dangerous maneuvers while overtaking a pickup truck and the absence of side mirrors on the motorcycle.

The video, along with her letter of apology and an affidavit from the pickup truck driver, served as key evidence in the LTO’s decision finding her liable.

Yanna Motovlog was charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without side mirrors, and operating a motor vehicle without attached number plates.

The LTO found her guilty of the first two offenses but cleared her of the third, as she is not the registered owner of the motorcycle.

The decision also criticized Yanna Motovlog for her refusal to appear during the investigation and her failure to surrender the motorcycle as ordered.

“This noncompliance not only violates the instructions mandated by this Office but also demonstrates outright disrespect for established legal procedures and regulatory enforcement. The failure to appear as ordered underscores a lack of regard for due process, accountability, and the authority vested in this Office,” the decision stated.

“By refusing to present both the registered owner and the motorcycle for inspection, the concerned party has obstructed investigative proceedings, delayed efforts to establish responsibility, and undermined the integrity of enforcement measures,” it added.

Mendoza had previously stressed that as a social media personality, Yanna Motovlog has a responsibility to her followers to set a positive example.
