Six people — including a police officer — were injured in a multiple-vehicle collision in the eastbound lane of the EDSA-Quezon Avenue tunnel early Wednesday morning.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confirmed the injuries in a statement, adding that the victims were transported to a hospital.
“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured,” the QCPD said.
Police also reported that a bus driver involved in the incident is now in police custody as the investigation continues.
The QCPD said that appropriate charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation and gathering of evidence.
Separately, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reported that four vehicles were involved in the collision: a bus, a motorcycle, and two UV Express vans.
The injured individuals included the motorcycle rider, the driver and two passengers of one UV Express van, and the driver and a passenger of the second UV Express van.
