Discaya vows: Help will continue in Pasig

Pasig City mayoral candidate Ate Sarah Discaya has pledged to continue helping Pasigueños facing hardships even as she expressed her gratitude to her supporters in a Facebook post Tuesday following this year’s local and national elections.

Discaya, a 48-year-old businesswoman and philanthropist, said she considered the campaign a victory because she made new friends during her campaign events.

“In every day of the campaign, in every corner and community I visited — you were there. You were with me in walking, in praying, in every smile and embrace full of hope. You were my strength. You are the reason why I became more known, more loved, and more embraced by even more Pasigueños,” said Discaya in her social media post.

“We won in the number of new friends. We won in unity and care for one another. And we won because we fulfilled the most important goal — to serve, to give hope, and to show true love for others, even without a position,” she added.

Discaya also stressed that even though the election is over, her efforts are not finished.

“I am still here — whether quiet or loud, small or big — I will continue to act, listen, help, and share in every story of every Pasigueño,” said Discaya, adding that the right time for a different outcome will come in God’s perfect timing.

“Thank you for your trust and support. I will never forget that. The right time will come — in God’s perfect time, He will give the victory not just for me, but for all of us,” she said.

Discaya also announced that the St. Gerrard Charity Foundation will continue its charity work and medical missions nationwide.

“As long as there is an opportunity, as long as there is strength — I will continue to serve. Because this is the call of my heart,” she added.
