Up close on screen, actor Dennis Trillo’s crow’s feet on his left eye is obvious. Is it there because he turns 44 years old today, or because he smiles too much, or he was not in the habit of using sun screen until lately?
It was at his media launch as ambassador of Belle Dolls’ Zero Screen Filter that we caught on extreme close-up shots on screen of Trillo’s crow’s feet on his left eye that shocked us. The event was held at the Grand Ballroom 1 of Solaire Quezon City where the Asian buffet launch served was gorgeous.
Belle Dolls is a sister company of Rhea Anicoche’s well-known Beautederm beauty and health company. She has about 20 showbiz idols and media influencers as seasonal endorsers of about two dozen products.
Anicoche heads Belle Dolls Trading, too, and it was she who signed up Trillo whose actress wife Jennylyn Mercado is an ambassador for a Beautederm product line.
The extreme close up’s of Trillo that we caught on screen were not advertising or promo shots for his being endorser of Zero Filter Sunscreen but part of Anicoche’s pre-taped video interview with him shown during the media launch. Looks like the lady chief executive officer, who most likely uses all her company products for youthful looks, is pilot-testing herself as a TV host. But the shots didn’t have extreme close-up’s of Anicoche, only Trillo had such.
We checked with Google’s AI, Gemini, and we were told that frequent exposure to sunlight can cause crow’s feet. Even repetitious facial expressions can, including smiling.
At the media launch, we had a chance to stand just about two feet away from Trillo’s left side during the free-for-all on-camera huddle around him. Well, he had no crow’s feet on the left eye. He didn’t look like he had concealers. (Sorry, we forgot to go to his right side to stare at his right eyes.) So, Zero Filter Sunscreen is effective.
Meanwhile, the products of Belle Dolls Trading are really meant to be less pricey than those of Beautederm. Belle Dolls Trading also has health and beauty beverages line of products, including coffee with stevia. Singer-TV host Darren Espanto endorses the beverages.
The beauty product business has been thriving in the country for years now. A dozen or so women who were practically impoverished in the past are beauty product tycoons now. Some are unarguably famous.
Another thriving business these days is travel booking and planning. There are now travel companies with specialization, such as planning and implementing a travel package for families or groups that have members who are physically-challenged or mobility-restrained.
Some travel agencies are sounding out families or group of friends who want to watch abroad the concerts of P-pop groups they have not been able to catch in major concerts in the Philippines for one reason or another, including lack of professional assistance for a member of the family or a group who is mobility-restrained.
The company is Toujours Travel and Tours and “Tojours” in its name is the French word for “always.” The company believes that when a family or a closely-knit group travels, no member should be left behind just because that member has mobility issues and they can’t find professional assistance to secure passport and other travel documents, and to meet the needs of the physically-challenged family/group member.
Toujours Travel and Tours has been operating under a different name since 2024. The company got incorporated in February this year as Toujours Travel and Tours. Its top executives are Abigail Mae Fuentes Selma as founder and chief executive officer and Jhona May Biscarra as chief operating officer. The company moved to its new corporate offices at Bonifacio Global City in April.
Selma has over 20 years of experience as a pharmaceutical and medical device executive. She has traveled around the world conducting Quality and Supplier Audits. Her global journeys not only honed her eye for detail and commitment to excellence but also ignited a lifelong passion for travel. Inspired by the cultures she encountered and the importance of seamless, accessible journeys, Selma envisioned creating a travel company that prioritized quality, inclusivity, safety, and client satisfaction.
Putting up a travel agency became more urgent for her after she had open-heart surgery, which made traveling for her more challenging. Experiencing firsthand the difficulties travelers with special requirements face, along with witnessing her own mother’s and mother-in-law’s struggles with limited mobility, strengthened Selma’s resolve to open her own travel agency.
“Traveling with babies and young children, with elderly individuals, or people with special needs requires careful planning and consideration. To make this possible, we partner with suppliers and other players in the industry to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable journey for everyone,” Selma said.
The company’s service includes booking tickets for concerts and shows and making arrangements with the management of concert venues to ensure that viewers with mobility issues are comfortable and safe, beginning with getting the special viewer into the venue. Tojours can also book hotel and lodging for its clients.
Online or in-person appointments with Toujours may be done through inquiries@toujourstravels.com or thru www.toujourstravels.com. The company also has Facebook as Toujours Travel and Tours. It also has a WhatsApp: +1 949 627-6168 and a US Toll Free phone +1 877 868-7-168.
The BINIverse world tour this month and in June includes 11 shows in various cities in the US, one in London, and closes in Vancouver in Canada.
SB19’s Simula At Wakas world tour has confirmed foreign venues in Asia, North America (including the US), and the Middle East all the way to October. Some online reports say that additional dates and venues in Australia and Japan are still to be announced.
