Quezon City District 5 congressional candidate Rose Nono Lin has secured the endorsement of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) ahead of the 12 May elections.
Although the religious group has not released an official proclamation, sources from both Lin’s camp and individuals close to the INC confirmed the endorsement.
In a statement, Lin thanked the INC for its support, saying it strengthens her efforts to improve public service in the district.“Malalim po ang pasasalamat natin sa tiwala at suporta na ibinigay sa atin ng Iglesia ni Cristo,” she said.
“Kasama natin sila sa pagtindig para sa mas maunlad na distrito, mas ramdam na mga programa, and tapat na paglilingkod.”
She also said she remains committed to “raise the quality of public service for the residents of District 5., and address the problems that they have shared with us.”
Lin noted that her foundation, the Rose Lin Foundation, has previously partnered with the INC for outreach efforts.
“Matagal na po natin silang kakampi pagdating sa paghahatid ng tulong at pag-aabot ng kalinga sa mga kababayan natin. Ngayon, tuluyan na pong mas marami pa tayong matulungan,” she said.
Lin is one of several candidates vying to represent District 5, which includes parts of Novaliches and Fairview.
