Not only is contemporary suburban living highlighted at Crescela Nuvali, Ayala Land’s newest environmentally conscious development, but the importance of skilled interior design in influencing how families interact with their homes.
Renowned interior designer Cyndi Fernandez Beltran crafted the two-story Crescela Nuvali model, which exemplifies how a well-designed interior may improve daily living.
Beltran takes on a sophisticated monochromatic color scheme and adds plush textiles, travertine stone, linen wallpaper and soft neutral hues to the room. The ultimate effect is a tasteful fusion of refinement and simplicity, proving that skilled design involves much more than just picking out color palettes and furnishings.
Beltran, a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas and Parsons School of Design, brings more than two decades of diversified design experience. As a co-founder of Moss Design House, the first firm in the Philippines to combine exhibit, event and interior design into experiential places, she has established a reputation for producing creative, emotionally charged settings for both domestic and international businesses.
“One of the things we really advocate for is making people aware that there are actually licensed interior designers — and we do study four years and take a board exam for it,” Beltran shared. “It’s so easy to create a design, but it’s even harder to know how to build it.”
Beltran explained that interior design is a science as much as it is an art. It involves studying flow, function, and ergonomics — critical elements that impact how people live and move within a space. “It’s not just about colors or furniture or curtains,” she said. “Our goal is really to change the way people live and make them realize there’s always a better way to live in a space.”
