In response to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to promote road safety across the country, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned popular motorcycle vlogger Yanna Moto Vlog for a road rage incident that occurred in Zambales, which quickly went viral on social media.

LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, emphasized that Yanna Moto Vlog will be asked to explain why her driver’s license should not be suspended or revoked, citing the possibility that she may be deemed an improper person to operate a motor vehicle due to her involvement in instigating the road rage.

Mendoza stressed, “We’ve been urging millions of Filipino motorists for a long time that getting angry on the road never results in anything positive — and many drivers have already faced penalties for this behavior.”

He further commented, “As a prominent figure with a significant social media following, she should have used her platform to promote responsible driving and road safety, not to incite or escalate conflicts.”

The incident unfolded when Yanna Vlog filmed herself giving the middle finger to a driver of a pick-up truck, accusing him of reckless driving.

According to the LTO’s Social Media Team, the video went viral, causing widespread attention. Later, the pick-up driver confronted her, asking why she had made the offensive gesture. The driver explained that driving in the area was challenging due to rough roads, which made normal driving difficult.

Despite this, Yanna Vlog continued to argue with the driver, and even after the confrontation ended, she made further insulting remarks about the situation.

While Yanna Moto Vlog later issued an apology on her social media accounts after facing online backlash, Mendoza confirmed that the LTO will continue with the investigation as road rage incidents cannot be tolerated.

Earlier, Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon had pledged that the government would take strong action against reckless and irresponsible drivers to ensure the safety of all road users. Dizon stressed that such behavior, which leads to accidents and road rage, is unacceptable and that the government is committed to protecting the public from such risks.

The LTO’s investigation is a step toward ensuring that influencers and all drivers use their social platforms and presence responsibly, especially when it comes to promoting good driving behavior and road safety awareness.
