Employees of Solaire Resort Entertainment City and staff of San Dionisio FAITH (Food Always In The Home) Garden in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City came together to harvest fresh produce from the vegetable yard in Kayboboy Bridge on 8 April 2025.
The FAITH Garden was built through the partnership of Solaire Cares, the social services arm of Solaire Resort, and the village with the goal of providing nutritious food to those who need it the most. The freshly harvested fruits and vegetables were immediately distributed to the parents of malnourished children identified by the San Dionisio Barangay Nutrition Committee, according to a post on the Facebook page of the garden.
Solaire Cares says staff from Solaire Resort’s HR Strategic Development and Special Projects (HSDSP) and culinary teams participated in the veggie harvesting and distribution activity.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to social responsibility and showcases how collaboration can create impactful solutions,” said Sarci Razon, vice president of HSDSP. “Through FAITH, we hope to ensure that healthy food is always accessible to those in need.”
Solaire Resorts funded the creation of the garden that was launched in February, according to Solaire Cares. The company is also supporting the project by sustaining it through its volunteers.
Solaire Cares reveals that a future plan is to create a FAITH community kitchen so vegetables grown from the garden are cooked to feed locals in need for free.
The FAITH project aims to equip locals with necessary gardening skills and resources. Solaire intends to empower the local community to maintain and grow the garden independently.
Approximately 30 kilos of vegetables are produced by the garden every two months. The produce include eggplant, lettuce, mustasa, tomatoes, okra, malunggay, bananas, alugbati, kangkong, talbos ng kamote and ampalaya.
