Senator Christopher “Bong” Go received another warm welcome in Pasig City on Thursday, just a day after his motorcade drew cheering crowds in both Pasig and nearby Cainta, Rizal.
Returning to the city with fellow senatorial candidates under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) banner, Go emphasized his platform of inclusive growth, urban development and stronger support for small businesses.
All along the motorcade route, residents and street vendors lined the streets, many taking time to interact with the senator and his team. The crowd’s energy reflected Go’s continued popularity among grassroots supporters.
“Our priority is health, and also ensuring that people have jobs and livelihoods. These are the things I’ve been fighting for, especially for the poor,” Go said during the event.
He also called on the public to support local entrepreneurs.
“We’ve pushed for programs that support Filipino entrepreneurs. Let’s uplift our small business owners — they make up the majority of our businesses through micro, small and medium enterprises,” he added.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Go proudly cited his work behind Republic Act 11463, the Malasakit Centers Act, which now boasts 167 centers nationwide, including one at Rizal Medical Center in Pasig.
He also mentioned the rollout of over 700 Super Health Centers nationwide, which he helped fund in partnership with other lawmakers and local governments.
Go highlighted another key measure: the Regional Specialty Centers Act (RA 11959), which he authored and sponsored. This law ensures that specialized medical services are accessible in every Department of Health regional hospital.
“Health is life — it’s that simple,” he said. “We need to make sure every family has enough income, and enough food on the table.”
In his Pasig visit, Go didn’t just talk policies — he also chatted with street food vendors, offered support for their businesses, and reiterated his belief in building the economy from the ground up.
He also promoted RA 11960, the One Town, One Product Philippines Act, which he co-authored. The program encourages pride in local products and helps small producers reach wider markets.
“This is about boosting livelihoods, building community pride and driving our national progress forward,” Go said.
And as always, the senator ended on a note of service:
“I’ll keep serving as long as I can — because for me, public service isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. And serving others is serving God.”
