Jonathan Anderson has been named artistic director of Dior Men, stepping into the role vacated by Kim Jones in January, the house confirmed on 17 April 2025. LVMH chair and CEO Bernard Arnault told shareholders at the group’s annual meeting that Anderson’s first collection will debut in Paris on 27 June 2025.
The Northern Irish designer arrives with a formidable résumé. Anderson founded his JW Anderson label in 2008 and, at 29, became creative director of LVMH‑owned Loewe in September 2013. Over 11 years he transformed the once‑quiet Spanish leather house into one of luxury’s most talked‑about brands through boundary‑pushing runway shows, viral campaigns and high‑profile collaborations.
Under his tenure, Loewe’s annual sales surged from about €230 million in 2014 to an estimated €1.5‑2 billion in 2024, according to figures cited by Morgan Stanley and Bernstein research. His spring/summer 2025 show earned a standing ovation from peers including Sarah Burton and Pharrell Williams, underscoring the creative momentum he now brings to Dior.
Dior, meanwhile, is navigating a softer luxury market: LVMH’s fashion and leather‑goods division posted a 5 percent decline in first‑quarter sales, with Dior a touch below the segment average. Nevertheless, the brand remains a powerhouse, generating €8.7 billion in revenue in 2024. Industry watchers expect Anderson’s conceptual yet wearable aesthetic to refresh Dior’s menswear while respecting the house’s storied codes.
