Pasig City mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya has vowed to tackle the city’s traffic issues by implementing smart traffic lights, offering free rides during rush hours and improving roads, bridges and bike lanes if elected in the upcoming midterm elections.

“We’ve all been stuck in traffic for years. Students have been late for exams, workers have missed work, and some mothers have run out of time to make dinner — all because of seemingly endless traffic,” Discaya said.

“But now, there’s leadership that is not afraid to confront this issue. I, Ate Sarah, will not shy away from solving a problem that has been begging for a solution for so long,” she added.

If elected, Discaya has promised to construct an elevated walkway at the Rotonda to create order, a system, and respect for the time of every Pasigueño.

“It’s not just about convenience while traveling. It’s about valuing each family’s time,” she said.

“Every second on the road is a moment of life that could have been more meaningful — if traffic flowed smoothly,” she added.

Discaya stressed that this is not just a promise but a realistic goal that can be achieved if she wins the mayoral race.

“This isn’t just a dream on paper. No drama. It’s a clear blueprint to address a problem that desperately needs a solution,” she said.

“In the traffic we’ve endured for so long, we now have a leader who is determined to find a way,” she concluded.
