Pasig City mayoral candidate Ate Sarah Discaya has pledged to deliver a wide range of social services to all Pasigueños — especially the underprivileged — if elected in the upcoming 12 May elections.

“So, we in Team Kaya This want to bring you what you rightfully deserve,” Discaya told residents during a caucus held Saturday evening in Barangay Kapasigan.

“One of our dreams is to make sure every Pasigueño feels the kind of service we are capable of providing,” she added.

Discaya criticized the current administration, claiming it has failed to deliver significant infrastructure projects in the past six years.

“We in Team Kaya This are wondering — how come in six years, we haven’t felt or seen any major infrastructure? Are there any? None, right?” she asked the crowd.

The mayoral aspirant also expressed her desire to restore the city’s former vibrance and vitality.

“We want to bring back the energy and spirit of Pasig,” she said.

Discaya, a successful businesswoman who rose from humble beginnings, said she already has more than enough in life and now wants to share her blessings with others.

The 48-year-old philanthropist, who operates a charitable foundation that provides medical missions and community service programs for the poor, said she can no longer turn a blind eye to the needs of her fellow Pasigueños.

“If all those needs were really being met, people wouldn’t be constantly coming to our office for help. Honestly, we’ve become like an extension of city hall,” she said.

“That’s why I’m ready to accept this challenge. Team Kaya This and I are asking — will you join us in this fight? Because, in truth, the power to create change lies in your hands. Will you stand with us?” she asked.
