MIAS 2025 turns 20 with full throttle celebration

Start your engines because the biggest car show in the Philippines is celebrating a big milestone.

The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) marks its 20th year from 10 to 13 April 2025, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, with a theme that captures its legacy: “Driven by Connection.” What began as a dream among motoring writers and an industry visionary is now the premier motoring event in the country.

Started in 2005, MIAS was born from a conversation between motoring journalists Jason K. Ang, Ulysses K. Ang, and Alvin Uy and WSI Founding Chairman Joseph Ang. Inspired by international auto expos, they sought to create a homegrown version that could stand proudly on the global stage.

MIAS 2025 booth design rules and floor layout are being revealed as exhibitors take down notes.

Twenty years later, MIAS has evolved into an essential event for global car brands looking to make an impact in the Philippines. The show has become a launchpad and a proving ground as it rolls out almost everything from the latest EVs to cutting-edge concept cars.

The event begins with a grand opening ceremony on 10 April at 9 a.m. Hosted by James Deakin, the program includes VIP photo ops and the official opening of exhibition halls.

Attendees will also hear from some of the industry’s most influential figures. Among them:

Mr. Joseph Ang, delivering the welcome address as the visionary behind MIAS.

Mr. Dexter Loyd Cuajotor, BPI vice president, is representing this year’s co-presenter.

Esteemed guest speakers, including Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano and MMDA chairman Atty. Romando Artes.

Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, represented by Undersecretary Mark Steven Pastor, delivering the keynote address.

Also part of the event are recognitions for partner organizations like ABS-CBN Foundation Inc., as well as the much-anticipated Mobility Marathon, where new car models are officially launched to the public.

Exhibitors and partners gather in full force for the MIAS 2025 Orientation.
With MIAS turning 20, excitement builds among attendees during the official orientation.

This year’s MIAS promises to be the biggest yet. With more than 90 exhibitors and over 200 vehicles on display, the show will feature a powerhouse lineup of car brands such as:

Aion, BAIC, BYD, Changan, Chery, Foton, GAC, Great Wall Motors, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jetour, Jaecoo, Kia, Lynk & Co., MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda, Seres, Suzuki, Vinfast, Volvo, Tesla and MINI, among others.

In addition to motorcycle companies Aprilia, Vespa, Triumph, and Segway, MIAS 2025 welcomes truck manufacturers FAW, JAC and Sinotruk.

The event also features highly anticipated activities such as cutting-edge car tech, hands-on demos and thrilling test drives.

MIAS maintains close relationships with groups like the Automobile Association of the Philippines, Tuason Racing School and the Car Awards Group Inc., allowing them to keep the Philippine motoring scene strong and steady.

Mark your calendars and head over to the World Trade Center Metro Manila from 10 to 13 April. Tickets are available online, and early bird bundles like the 5+1 group promo are live at manilaautoshow.com.
