VinFast taps JIGA

VinFast is making a big move to strengthen its presence in the Philippines, partnering with MGA.414 Corporation — the folks behind the JIGA auto service chain — to build out a nationwide support system for its electric vehicles. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), laying out plans to roll out over 100 service workshops across the country by the end of the year.

The idea is simple: if more people are buying EVs, they’ll need places to get them checked, repaired, and maintained. Through this partnership, JIGA’s service centers will become official VinFast hubs, offering authorized repairs, maintenance and warranty services.

This move also lines up with the growing interest in EVs in the Philippines, as more people look for cleaner and more sustainable ways to get around. VinFast, originally from Vietnam and focused entirely on electric vehicles, wants to make sure that going electric is as smooth and practical as possible for Filipino drivers. The company’s plan is to have over 100 service centers up and running nationwide by 2025.

To make that happen, VinFast will be helping JIGA with training programs, technical guidance, and knowledge-sharing, so that their mechanics and teams are fully ready to handle VinFast’s lineup of EVs.

“The market for electric vehicles is expanding in the Philippines, and this collaboration with VinFast, a pioneering brand in the electric vehicle industry, is a step toward enhancing JIGA’s service capabilities while also enabling us to support the sustainable development trend and offer Filipino consumers the best of the best services. Excited guid kami, tanan nga taga-JIGA, to work with VinFast,” Michael Abanero, JIGA president, said.

“Our collaboration with JIGA is a strategic step toward fulfilling VinFast’s commitment to providing an optimal EV ownership experience for customers in the Philippines. We are confident that the combination of VinFast’s green vision and JIGA’s professional service network will mark a significant milestone in promoting sustainable transportation in this market,” Pham Sanh Chau, VinFast Asia CEO, said.

VinFast officially entered the Philippine market in 2024, introducing a lineup of smart and eco-friendly EVs. Since then, they’ve been rolling out competitive pricing, enticing sales programs, and expanding their after-sales support to make EV ownership more appealing and accessible.

By teaming up with local players like JIGA, VinFast is not only improving its operations on the ground but also making a long-term bet on the Philippine market. It’s all part of their global strategy, centered on sustainable mobility and keeping customers at the heart of everything.
